Roadburn 2026: Lineup Complete; Final Names Announced

Posted in Whathaveyou on February 26th, 2026 by JJ Koczan

The lineup for Roadburn 2026 is done as of this announcement. To the surprise of likely none, it’s expansive, both in stylistic and geographic reach, and as will happen with the long-running Tilburg, The Netherlands-based fest, it acknowledges its own past while keeping its primary focus ever on the future of the underground. Looking at the poster below, special sets for Inter ArmaBlackwater HolylightPigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs PigsUnsanePrimitive ManUfomammutBoris and others certainly stand out, but Roadburn is never short on ways to spend your time, and discovery is a huge part of the process.

It’s bittersweet to see Roadburn finish out its lineup since I won’t be there this year, but if you will, you’re in for a weekend that just might change your life, especially if it’s your first time. The complete lineup is in the poster below, with the Heavy Jazz Jam and the rest of the Paradox bill included in the secondary image lower down. None of this counts things like secret shows, adjacent gigs, and the side-programme, so there’s still more Roadburn to reveal itself.

Roadburn 2026 is April 16-19. The PR wire brought the following:

Roadburn announced the final names for 2026 edition including the Paradox line up

Roadburn has announced the final names for 2026 edition of the festival including the line up for the Paradox venue. Paradox is a world-renowned jazz venue that curates two days of performances as part of Roadburn, focusing on the avant-garde, jazz-influenced and experimental scenes.

Roadburn’s Artistic Director, Walter Hoeijmakers comments:

For several years now, the legendary jazz club Paradox has been an integral part of the Roadburn community. Tucked away in the heart of Tilburg, it has long been a home for adventurous music – and we’re proud to see that spirit resonating once again at the festival.

For 2026, Paradox has handpicked a compact yet exceptional lineup, centred around experimental, jazz-influenced artists that feel completely at home within the Roadburn universe. It’s a programme built on openness, curiosity and deep listening: small in scale, but rich in character and intent.

As everything now falls into place, we are also excited to announce the final bands for the main Roadburn lineup. With these additions, the picture is complete and the story is ready to unfold when we gather once more in Tilburg.

All these different genres, scenes and generations are finally coming together in April. We can’t wait to see you in less than two months from now.

All ticket and accommodation options for Roadburn are on sale. More information including the full line up can be found at roadburn.com

Yellowstock X: Lineup Complete; Kadavar to Headline

Posted in Whathaveyou on July 6th, 2016 by JJ Koczan

Set for Aug. 13 and 14 in Geel, Belgium, Yellowstock X is sort of where the summer festival season meets the fall festival season in Europe, thus reinforcing the notion that there is at this point no such thing as a festival season at all, and awesome shows are just a year-round occurrence. Either way, the lineup for the 10th edition of the fest is a striking international assemblage, from Kadavar confirmed to headline to the psych jams of Hills, The Midnight Ghost Train‘s bluster-blues, Zone Six‘s space rock triumphs, Greenleaf‘s hard-driving choruses and on and on.

With bands from Russia to the US, as well as Belgian acts like Flying Horseman, the why-would-you-call-your-band-this Kiss the Anus of a Black Cat, Tangled Horns and The Glücks, it looks like a well-curated mix of groups and should make for a great precursor to the busy autumn ahead.

Complete lineup and headliner announcement follow, courtesy of the fest:

Eindhoven Psych Lab 2015 Announces Lineup; Earth and Moon Duo to Headline

Posted in Whathaveyou on February 26th, 2015 by JJ Koczan

earth

Looks like a pretty far out lineup for this year’s Eindhoven Psych Lab, which though it’s going head to head with Freak Valley in Germany, seems to be hitting into more of an indie vibe than heavy rock. Does it still count as a conflict if the fests are happening in different countries? Not being fortunate enough to head to either, I’ll leave the philosophy out of it. In any case, if you were wondering what Earth were up to that weekend, they’re headlining at the Effenaar in gorgeous Eindhoven on a bill that also includes the formidable likes of The Cult of Dom Keller, Kikagaku Moyo and Portuguese jammers Black Bombaim.

Info follows, hoisted from the PR wire:
