audiObelisk: Stream a New Stubb Track Now
Click play on the player below to stream the final mix of a new track from UK trio Stubb. The song is called “Soul Mover” and it comes from Stubb‘s recently recorded, as-yet-untitled full-length. Vocalist/guitarist Jack Dickinson has been posting regular updates about the recording process on the forum, and after hearing the unmastered version of the song “Scale the Mountain” on the band’s Reverbnation page, I offered to host the next track here on the site proper.
The timing works out too, because Stubb will be joining Stone Axe on an eight-day tour starting tomorrow that will take the latter to their performance at Roadburn next Saturday. Stone Axe guitarist/vocalist T. Dallas Reed will also be mastering the Stubb album, so they’re all kinds of intertwined.

Joining Dickinson in Stubb is bassist Pete Holland and drummer Chris West, both also of Trippy Wicked and the Cosmic Children of the Knight. The release date of the album is still a mystery, but I’m definitely looking forward to hearing how the rest of it plays out after this song.
