Sat-r-dee Slow Train

Kind of a forgotten band in that straightforward Swedish heavy classic rock style, but I always dug Slow Train‘s Song of the Day (2003), and as I celebrate having the internet turned back on in the valley for the first time since the winds of Hurricane Irene knocked it out last Sunday, it’s doing me just fine. So far as I know, Song of the Day is the only record Slow Train put out. Not sure what they’re up to know. If you know, drop a line.

I’m on two major kicks right now: Sweden and Sabbath. No complaints about either.

Can’t really linger though, since as I mentioned the other day when I gave August’s numbers, I’ll have a new podcast before the weekend is through. I’ve got a theme picked out and a list of bands, so all that’s left to do is rip the CDs, put it together, convert to mp3, and make the post. Probably won’t finish it today, but tomorrow it’ll be up, provided the internet stays working around here.

Monday is the most ironic of American holidays, Labor Day, and I’ve got tickets to the ballgame, but I still plan on getting that Rwake review up, whenever it happens. I’ll work out the timing on it. Not too worried.

Wherever you are, I hope you have a great (rest of the) weekend, and if you are in the US, hope you enjoy the day off and be safe. See you on the forum and back here tomorrow for the podcast.
