Alunah Writing Third Album; New Gigs Announced
Speaking of 2014 albums I’m looking forward to (which I seem to be doing more and more these days), UK doomers Alunah are apparently hard at work on their Sleeping Goblin/Napalm Records debut, which will be their third album overall. The Birmingham four-piece was set to tour with Victor Griffin‘s new Benson/Griffin project this fall, but though that run has been canceled, they’ve still got a healthy amount of gigs lined up, particularly for a band also writing a record.
If you didn’t hear it, I’ve included the Bandcamp stream of 2012’s White Hoarhound (review here) below. Hell, even if you did hear it, it’s worth another listen.

Jex Thoth, New Tracks and A Bundle O’ Doom
Recording New Tracks…
We’ve been busy writing new material for our 3rd studio album, and can announce here that three of the finished tracks are to be called “Bricket Wood Coven”, “Maidens of Herne” and Summerland”.
We will be entering the studio in November to record these tracks in order to get a feel for the sound of the album, and also to provide Napalm Records with an insight regarding what we have been working on, and the direction it is taking. Once again we will be working with Greg Chandler at Priory Studios.
The super talented, and master of beautiful imagery, Michael Cowell is currently illustrating the visuals for the album, and we hope to provide you with an album title very soon.
Something Heavy This Way Comes…
Since we last spoke we’ve added some new dates to the calendar, including dates with the amazing Jex Thoth, and also GOLD (ex – The Devil’s Blood). Unfortunately, due to a family illness the Benson/Griffin tour has been cancelled, including our Birmingham date. Here are our dates for the rest of 2013.
