The Obelisk Forum is Live
You can check it out and sign up to post at https://theobelisk.net/forum.
What this does is basically split the site in two. I will work on getting links to the forum page up on the blog proper, maybe in the header or something, but in the meantime, I’ll have links in the sidebar and the address shouldn’t be that hard to remember if you’ve ever been here before.
The content of the forum is up to you as a reader/poster. I will be running the main page of the blog same as ever, and there will still be the option to comment on posts from the main page as well. I hope you enjoy the forum. There’s a welcome message in there now if you want to have a look before you sign up and post.

Good to hear! Looks like the board is quite active already, today. I tried to sign up, but I think that the captcha is wonky…..I tried several times, but it wouldn’t let me sign in.
One request JJ–that the forum be moderated for civility, no nudity and other nonsense. If you let it happen right away, it will be the precedent, and I can tell you that I had a hard time always being fired up to go to the SR.com forums to see whatever flame war was going on. Justin (in one of his many alter egos) will no doubt find your forum and turn it into complete nonsense. Many people who posted at the SR.com forums expressed the same issues…..that no one could be banned or kicked off those forums.
This could be a great opportunity to do it right and correct that huge problem that was always an ongoing issue at SR.com.
