Desertfest New York Announces 2022 Dates; May 12-13 at Saint Vitus Bar & Knockdown Center
Of course there wasn’t a Desertfest New York 2020, and of course there wasn’t one in 2021 either. But after a successful initial showing in 2019, Desertfest will return in 2022 for the second edition of its first US installment, and Desertfest New York 2022 further marks a shift as in addition to the pre-show at the Saint Vitus Bar — I remember fondly sitting with Reece and Matte at the bar, later meeting Sarika — the event will take place at the Knockdown Center. That’s a shift, obviously, from The Well, which has since closed. New spot looks right on though, and I think it might be just down the road from where The Well was. In any case, I’m sure you know how to get there.
No lineup info yet, but I’m happy to see these dates and to mark them on my calendar for next Spring. This’ll be a good time.

Taking place from May 13th – May 15th 2022, Knockdown Center will play host to some of the most iconic names in desert rock, doom & stoner as Desertfest curate a line-up showcasing not only their heritage, but their love of all things heavy. With two stages across 3 days, plus a pre-party at Saint Vitus on Thursday 12th May, Desertfest are solidifying their place in the USA with an immense celebration of underground music, art & culture.
