Monkey3 Announce Italian Tour Dates for December
Swiss mostly-instrumentalists Monkey3 are currently on a European tour alongside 1000mods and Moaning Cities that has already seen them perform at this year’s Up in Smoke and that before it’s done will find them at Desertfest Belgium 2016 and Keep it Low in Munich. Not a bad run, but as we find out today, it’s not all the long-running outfit have in store as they support their new album, Astra Symmetry (review here), as Heavy Psych Sounds and Sound of Liberation have partnered again — as they’re doing increasingly often; take note — to present an Italian tour in December.
Italy’s emergence within the sphere of European heavy rock over the last three to four years is in no small part thanks to the efforts of Heavy Psych Sounds, as I’ve said on multiple occasions, so as that steps forward into bringing bands from the rest of the continent in as well as promoting homegrown countrymen acts, it can only make the scene as a whole stronger. Also, Monkey3 rule, so that’s kind of nice as well.
