Prepare the Ground IV Makes First Lineup Announcement
Damn, yo. Admittedly, not everything that Toronto-based festival Prepare the Ground puts on is my cup of whathaveyou, but for Dark Castle alone, I felt compelled to post their first lineup announcement for 2027, never mind SubRosa. Those two, plus the likes of Agalloch, KENmode, Primitive Man and so on will make for a pretty wild weekend at the start of June, and if you’re up for tickets, the link below is long enough that I think you probably won’t miss it; they’re available now. I’m so glad SubRosa are doing more than just Fire in the Mountains, and I don’t know that they’ll tour at all around this — mind you, I don’t know that they won’t — but it’s something I’ll keep an eye on. Ditto that for Dark Castle, the Floridian two-piece whose last album, Surrender to All Life Beyond Form (review here), came out 15 years ago.
Oof I’m old. Not because it’s been that long, but because 15 years doesn’t feel like that much.
Anywho, I’ll be keeping an eye on who else gets added here, as certainly they’re off to a killer start. The following is from social media:
