Stonus Begin Fall Tour Tonight in Spain
The above photo of Stonus was taken last week as the band supported Norway’s Slomosa in their home country of Cyprus in front of what would seem to have been a packed house. That show, preceded by a fest appearance in Malta, came ahead of the upcoming Iberian long-weekender which the five-piece are undertaking starting this evening in Spain, and there are more dates later this Fall as well around a Paris gig with Oreyeon on Nov. 20. I don’t know if those dates are announced or not; if they were, I couldn’t find them, but frankly, I’ve never been too good at this whole ‘internet’ thing.
You’ll likely recall earlier this year when Stonus made their Ripple Music debut with their latest full-length, Space to Dive (review here). The band hit the road in Spring for shows in Germany, Austria and Hungary as well, and this run is a complement to that as they support the album at festivals and club shows. They’re joined this weekend-plus by Maha Sohona, which I’m sure you don’t need to be told is a winning combination.
From socials:
STONUS – Space to Dive Tour Part II is coming in hot, taking us across Spain, France and Cyprus.
This run is packed with some very special shows and bands:
Cyprus – back home to support SLOMOSA.
Spain – returning after two years, sharing the stage with the Swedish psychonauts Maha Sohona and playing in two festivals: Urania Desert fest and Cavernal Fest in Madrid!
France – Paris, supporting Oreyeon.
Huge thanks to What The Fuzz Festival, Below The Sun, Bergidoom, Cavernall Producciones and Espazo Underground for making this tour possible.
We have more shows coming up so keep an eye out 👀
