Pelican to Support Russian Circles on East Coast Tour
Okay, yeah, it feels a little weird posting these tour dates from the Pelican perspective when in fact it’s Russian Circles headlining and they’re the ones releasing a new album, called Nine, in August. It does. I don’t really have an answer for it other than I’m not cool enough to get Russian Circles press releases if such a thing exists, and I saw the Pelican announcement and went with it.
The two Chicago-based post-metallic instrumentalist outfits are obviously not strangers to each other. Lately, they crossed paths throughout European tours this Spring, and were on the West Coast together last year; a run to which this would seem to be a counterpart. They’ll swing into Canada for a couple shows and traverse the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard before swinging back inland and heading for home, mostly two-days-on/one-day-off but getting more intense as it goes, wrapping in Indianapolis on Oct. 13.
I’ve included the new Russian Circles video here for good measure, and if you haven’t yet seen the info on their new album — yes, I know you have — it’s here: https://linktr.ee/russiancircles.
The following is from socials:
Stoked to announce one more for 2026 – we will be joining our dear friends Russian Circles as direct support on the east coast leg of their tour in support of their new album Nine.
When we announced our west coast tour with them last year the feedback came back again and again: “bring this tour to the east coast.” Y’all were heard and we promise it will be worth the wait.

Loving how dark Russian Circles has gotten. No idea how/if they do PR, but they have a newsletter they sent the basics out on.
I should sign up for that then, thank you.
