Bottenhavet Post New Single “Fimpa Alla Ljusen”
I missed it, because I suck at this, but Sweden’s Bottenhavet two weeks ago hosted their own minifest, called Bottfest, in Stockholm. They played, of course, and The Quill headlined, and Caboose played, and a couple others. I think that was the first one, and maybe they’ll do more? I don’t know, but as at-least-twice-over veterans of Truckfighters Fuzz Festival, they’ve had a pretty good tutelage in festmaking, I should think. Something to keep an eye on.
Bottenhavet‘s debut album, Ljud i Tysta Rum (review here), came out in 2024 on Fuzzorama Records (also run by Truckfighters), and ahead of an appearance at Desertfest Oslo next month and the ensuing live dates listed below that will play out from there between now and November — more to come, mind you — they’ve released a new single “Fimpa Alla Ljusen,” that you can stream at the bottom of this post. I haven’t heard if there’s a new record or whathaveyou on the way, so don’t quote me on it, but even in Swedish the song’s got a hook to my ears, so if I say it’s a suitable continuation on from the debut, that’s why.
