Nebula have announced that Jason “Cas” Casanova, best known for his work in Sasquatch, will be taking over the bassist role. The band lost longtime low-ender Tom Davies in 2023 and Ranch Sironi, who picked up the reins thereafter, in 2024. That’s a hard one-two punch for any group to endure, but Nebula have a long history of endurance, and if you’re looking to get momentum on your side, Cas makes sense for this spot.

They posted the following on social media, along with the European tour dates that were first announced in January. No word on whether or not they’ll record anything anytime soon, or if founding guitarist/vocalist Eddie Glass has even been writing, but they’ll be at Desertfest in Oslo and Berlin on this run, so hopefully somebody there or in one of the club shows — A38 Hájo! love boatgigs — will get good video. If you’ve ever seen Sasquatch, you know Cas is the dude for the job. His pairing with Glass and slotting into the rhythm section with drummer Mike Amster is only going to help Nebula, whether it’s a permanent or temporary thing.
