Denmark’s The Sonic Dawn this April will embark on a round of Eastern European touring as they continue to support their 2024 full-length, Phantom (review here), on Heavy Psych Sounds. This past November, the trio celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut album, Perception (review here), and looking between the two, one finds the band’s passion for classic psychedelic rock has only grown more lustrous with time. Phantom wasn’t without things to say about the modern world in terms of its lyrics and frames of reference, but their sound remains rooted in the bygone aesthetically if not in the actual production. Though if you want to be honest about it, I’m not sure where ‘vintage’ ends and ‘modern’ begins anymore.

They seem to have hit Berlin last year, but mostly stuck to local (Copenhagen and thereabouts) gigging in 2025, so this will be their most significant tour undertaken since Fall 2024 when they did a stint through Germany, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Hitting Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic (in order of appearance on the tour poster below) feels like a ready follow-up, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they had new stuff in the works either. I guess you’ll have to show up to know for sure.
