Witchcraft to Release A Sinner’s Child EP March 13
If you’ll recall — and I didn’t until I went back and looked, so don’t worry, you’re not on the hook for it — earlier this year when Sweden’s Witchcraft signed to Heavy Psych Sounds for the release of their 2025 LP, Idag (review here), there was mention of both an album and an EP in the announcement. Idag was the album, and the upcoming A Sinner’s Child is the EP.
Due out March 13 and available to preorder, the new Witchcraft outing seems to follow suit in terms of form from the album that preceded it, blending founding guitarist/vocalist Magnus Pelander‘s solo-composed/played acoustic material with the harder hitting fare wrought by the band’s full lineup. If you heard Idag, you know it’s an enticing prospect. That record successfully encapsulated much of what helped make Witchcraft an underground household name, and seeing the band move forward with an ideology of ‘we can be all of these things’ is encouraging. Seems likely Witchcraft will have touring in 2026 or at least fest appearances and the like. When I see something, I’ll post accordingly. For now, from the PR wire:
