So the run starts in Austin for SXSW and ends in New Mexico at Monolith on the Mesa and then in Seattle for the Northwest Terror Fest, and all the while, Castle will be bringing the metal to the masses like they’re a compilation tape from 1985. The moved-to-Mojave-to-write-this-record-because-we-gotta-get-our-heads-straight-man headbang-inciters released their Deal Thy Fate (review here) long-player last year through Ripple and before, during and after that process, they’ve toured. They tour. They tour and tour and tour. They’re a touring band. This block of shows covers both coasts, in between and the north and south. It’s huge. But for Castle, business as usual.

And you know what they’re gonna do after this tour, I bet? Another one. Maybe in Europe.

If you haven’t already read me saying this 50 times, go see Castle. You might at one of the following dates:

CASTLE ANNOUNCE U.S. TOUR AND FESTIVAL DATES

California heavy metal trio CASTLE have announced a slew of U.S. tour dates in support of their newest album, Deal Thy Fate, released Oct 20 via Ripple Music. The upcoming U.S. dates, which feature stops at Black Smoke Conjuring SXSW showcase in Austin, TX and the NYDM Spring Bash in Milwaukee, WI will kick off with a one week run to Texas in March followed by a three-week trek to the East Coast in April/May.

In addition, CASTLE have also been confirmed for the inaugural Monolith On The Mesa to take place in Taos, NM on May 17-18 alongside OM, Windhand and others, as well as this year’s edition of Northwest Terror Fest in Seattle, WA on May 30 – June 2. Expect several more dates to be announced around the festivals.

Deal Thy Fate was recorded by Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis) at Hallowed Halls in Portland, Oregon last spring and is available here. The band’s fifth album follows 2016’s critically-lauded Welcome To The Graveyard and builds on the stripped-down sound of its predecessor, pushing the envelope of classic metal with epic songs that hearken back to fuzzier times while keeping the pedal down on their own hard-edged, modern sound.

The newly announced U.S. dates follow tours of Canada, Europe and a U.S. West Coast tour late last year.
