Banquet Sign to Heavy Psych Sounds; Jupiter Rose Due in Feb.
I’m not sure if Heavy Psych Sounds realizes it, but it’s not exactly beginning a new series of signings. The Italian imprint hasn’t really stopped signing bands since earlier this year, and from Isaak and My Home on Trees to Throneless, Killer Boogie and Ape Skull — not to mention releases from Fatso Jetson and Farflung or Black Rainbows — the label has worked quickly to construct one of Europe’s most impressive stables, paying close attention to the still-burgeoning (that’s not to say “exploding”) heavy/fuzz scene in its native land, but reaching beyond Italy’s borders as well to elsewhere in Europe and the US.
The latest acquisition, Banquet, hail from San Francisco, and released their debut 7″ earlier this year on Who Can You Trust? Records ahead of a slot in May at Psycho California. Word of their first full-length, to be titled Jupiter Rose, follows here, as posted by Heavy Psych Sounds:
