Steak and the Horror-Filled Fall of Lazarus

In my review a couple weeks back for British rockers Steak‘s debut EP, Disastronaught, I recounted some of the basics for the plotline that the songs seemed to be working toward and that the liner notes and comic-book-style artwork were feeding into. I don’t know how clips from Hammer Horror films also feed into that plotline, but they certainly seem to line up well with lyrics about “10,000 roaches” and “bloodshot eyes,” and I thought Christopher Lee draining some ’70s hottie’s blood while vocalist Kippa was singing about pouring wine was a subtle but charming touch. I bet the clips were cheaper than filming or animating a future alien-looking dystopia would be too, or maybe I don’t know how the film industry works.
