Top 20 of 2011 Readers Poll Now Open!
The idea is simple: Everyone submits a list of their favorite 11 releases of 2011. Any genre, any band, whatever. From that list, a master list is compiled so that at the end of December, we’ll come out with a group poll of what got the most votes. From everyone’s initial 11, I’ll take the top 20. I’m not saying I thought of it first, I’m just saying it’ll be fun.
In addition, if I can figure out how to do so, I’ll post some or all of people’s lists once they’re in and the voting is closed, so please leave your name, your forum ID, or any other moniker by which you’d like to be known. Thanks in advance for being a part of it.

When does voting close?
End of the month. Dec. 31.
I cheated a little bit… I had my list together already.
Just submitted my list but I should def point out that I only listened to about 75 albums released in 2011 whcih did not include latest releases from Mastodon, Black Cobra, YOB, all of which would have had a high chance of making my list.
Anyways, nice work as always Taskmaster! Looking forward to starting the top 20 countdown.
p.s. I hope your number 1 is a little better this year than last as I can’t see anyone agreeing with you that Solace – A.D. was the top album in 2010. :)

I had to put mine together from what I’ve actually heard…if I’d heard the Mosd Generator reissue that would have probably gone in pretty high!!! I had to resist the temptation to put our album in there!!!
I’ve put mine in! Looking forward to seeing the results here…
The Stoner HiVe will broadcast ONE album a day starting with number 20 on december 12th… Ending with the number one on december 31st!
So far about 25 people have sent in their list…
It wasn’t easy to cut down my 30 favorite ones down to eleven . I think this year was a quite good one in terms of music releases

This year has been a Clutch year for me really…capped off with an awesome show this past Wednesday.
There were some I haven’t heard that I probably should have…Black Tusk comes to mind.
