The Maple Forum to Release Kings Destroy Full-Length

I’m sure there’s some way I could possibly be more stoked to be working with Brooklyn doomers Kings Destroy, but I don’t know what it is. I’ve been digging on this band since first encountering them in February. Their Old Yeller/Medusa 7″ was killer, they slay live, and I knew when I dropped in on them while they recorded with Sanford Parker that their full-length was going to be something special. I’m honored and humbled to have them as part of The Maple Forum.

The name of the album is still a mystery, but it’ll be out circa October, and some songs set to appear are “Two Tons,” “Stung,” “The Whittler,” and my personal favorite and candidate for song title of the year, “Dusty Mummy.” I’ve heard some rough mixes of the tracks, and I can say from experience you should prepare for a hefty dooming.

Art, full tracklist, sounds, pressing info and more to come, but I was just so excited to be working with these dudes that I had to get the word out. Can’t wait for you all to hear the record.

Kings Destroy is:
Steve Murphy – vocals (Uppercut)
Carl Porcaro – guitars (Killing Time)
Chris Skowronski – guitars (Killing Time)
Rob Sefcik – drums (Electric Frankenstein, Begotten)
Ed Bocchino – bass (Stanley)
