Seemless Come Undone

Pastoral at last. When Massachusetts rockers Seemless were just getting going, they played a club called The Continental in NYC all the time. That place has stopped doing shows (they kept the shot specials though), and I was still a college radio-type, but man, I remember getting shoved out of the way by the bald wonder bigshot Matt Pinfield as he had to get to the front row to check them out.

They stayed out here in the valley after those shows more times than I can remember and after a while, when drummer Derek Kerswill joined metalcore outfit Unearth and the whole thing just seemed to fizzle out, we lost touch. It happens. But they were always really great guys and their first, self-titled album, which eventually got re-released by Equal Vision Records, had some killer tunes. I don’t know if I’ll be making it up to The Lucky Dog in September, but hell man, these dudes rocked and it’s a bummer they fizzled the way they did.

Here’s the info for their last show, via Blabbermouth:

Seemless, the band featuring former Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach and ex-Shadows Fall drummer Derek Kerswill, will play its final show on Saturday, September 12 at The Lucky Dog in Worcester, Massachusetts. Sources close to the band say that you can only keep beating a dead horse for so long before you finally realize, “Hey dude… this horse is already dead!”
