I respect Pepper for not taking part in that abomination.

I liked that free ep from a couple years ago.

Damn, tough crowd! The S/T and the EP from last year are both solid slabs of filthy CoC. I prefer Pepper on vox over Mike Dean, but he's adequate and sounds unhinged fitting the music. It's the same heavy southern stoner metal they've done since Deliverance. Nothing wrong with that.

Pepper not taking part isn't by his choice.

You mean this three-piece stuff is not in the vein of Animosity? I have yet to check it out.

Actually it kind of reminds me of blind more than animosity. Of course with mike dean singing.

I love the new era of 3-piece material.
I love Pepper-C.o.C. and Animosity-days material too, but the s/t and Megalodon EP are great if ya ask me.

Interesting. Last I heard, Pepper had an open invitation to join em at any time, but was tied up with Down commitments.

Yeah, not sure where the hate is coming from for non-Pepper COC. Self titled ruled, EP was fine too and they're killer live. It's different but still great.

Im am unsure what you are referring to as an abomination. this clip? the previous album?

If you were referring to the previous album, it was meant to appease the ORIGINAL punk fans.

If you were referring to just the clip, as I recall Pepper had a hand in In the Arms of God and Americas Vol Dealer too. Those werent abominations? There was more groove in that one clip that in both of those albums put together. I will certainly concede that he has superior singing skills than Mike.

I just want to hear something new from them. Good to see Reed behind the drums again.

I dug America's Volume Dealer pretty well, but in the Arms of God was just a bit too dull. Haven't checked out anything since.

I'm one of those fans. They failed.

I dig all of COC's "eras."...but it's a head scratcher how some Pepper-era fans don't have at least an appreciation for the influence the band had before he entered the picture...Decibel summed it pretty good re: Animosity: http://www.decibelmagazine.com/hall-of- ... onformity/
