I think technically the initial Kickstarter contributions Magnetic Eye Records took for its Electric Ladyland [Redux] and The Best of James Marshall Hendrix tributes to Jimi Hendrix probably counted as preorders, but if you need to think of this as a general update on the progress for the complex-as-hell project, then by all means, don’t let me stop you. Magnetic Eye has things on track for a November release in time for what would’ve been Hendrix‘s 75th birthday, and along with the latest word of the mastering being finished, the label has also unveiled UK four-piece Elephant Tree‘s version of “Manic Depression.”

True to the form of their 2014 debut, Theia (review here), which Magnetic Eye also released, the Londoners show off their tendency to catch their audience off-guard. They have a new album in the writing stage as well, so stay tuned for more on that.

iTunes Digital PreOrder and overall update

In other news, David Paul Seymour is working on finishing up the album art, the record was mastered by Wo Fat’s at Kent’s Crystal Clear Sound studio. Everything is sounding and looking amazing! We are still on track for a November release on physical formats.
