John, the Void Sign to Argonauta Records; New LP Due in 2018

It’s been a pretty consistent running theme around here for the last few months: ‘Band signs to Argonauta Records, will have new album out.’ To wit, comma-inclusive Italian post-sludgers John, the Void join the label’s ranks alongside such recent additions as Thal, Greyfell, Clamfight, Di’aul, Supernaughty, Zom, Vessel of Light and Ancient VVisdom. At this point I’m starting to wonder what the trick up the imprint’s sleeve could be — a functional business model? Nah, this is heavy rock and roll. That can’t be it.

Whatever it is, it’s let Argonauta flourish as one of the most vital European underground imprints of the last couple years, so all the better. Look for John, the Void to have their next outing pressed through the label in the second half of 2018, and at this point I’m just going to say stay tuned for more to come, because it doesn’t seem like Argonauta is about to slow down its advance whatsoever. Hell, and why should they? Keep it going for as long as possible. With that functioning business model and all.

We’re thrilled to welcome in ARGONAUTA family a new stunning act from Italy: JOHN, THE VOID.

JOHN, THE VOID is a six piece band formed in 2013. They released an EP and a full length titled “II” in 2017. During their tours they also shared the stage with acts like Lento, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Zeus!, Morkobot, Grime and more.
