John Garcia Announces Acoustic European Tour
Desert rock’s most venerable frontman, John Garcia, is headed back to Europe. In addition to having contributed vocals to the debut release from Zun, Burial Sunrise (review here), which is out this month on Small Stone, Garcia has a follow-up in the making for his 2013 Napalm Records self-titled solo debut (review here) and an acoustic record that’s long been discussed which will reportedly see release before the end of 2016. It’s the latter that will serve as the focal point for the upcoming European tour, set to kickoff on May 18, which follows an unplugged run he did in Europe and the UK last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he heads abroad again later this year if that second electric album shows up, but I think US dates are off the table at this point. Bummer, but I get it. You go where the audience is.
Shows are presented by Vibra Agency and will feature support from Bellhound Choir (aka Christian Hede Madsen of Copenhagen’s Pet the Preacher). Info came off the PR wire:
