Buffalo Killers to Release New EP on Heavy Psych Sounds
Ohio four-piece Buffalo Killers are the latest announcements in a seemingly ongoing marathon of pickups by Italian imprint Heavy Psych Sounds. The label — oh just click here to see what they’ve done lately — has grown its roster to include European and US bands of many stripes, and though they’ll continue to work with Alive Naturalsound as well for their next album, Buffalo Killers have also joined forces with Heavy Psych Sounds for the booking of a European tour, which is set to run for most of June, right around the same time the EP will come out.
Locations and venues haven’t been announced for the tour yet, but here’s word from the label on working with the band:
Heavy Psych Sounds Records & Booking is honoured to announce that ***BUFFALO KILLERS*** (Retro Rock / 70’s Rock / Folk n’ Roll ** USA-Ohio) (AliveNaturalsound Records/Heavy Psych Sounds Records) will release a brand new EP in June with us and is proud to bring the band in Europe for the first time ever from June 2nd to June 23rd.

Buffalo Killers, hailing from Ohio, deliver hook heavy homegrown rock ‘n’ roll. Lead by songwriting brothers Zachary and Andy Gabbard, the band has drawn the attention of the likes of Chris Robinson, who invited them to open a string of dates for The Black Crowes and Dan Auerbach, who produced their sophomore effort Let It Ride, to name a few.
The boys are coming off a prolific five years of released albums: The critically acclaimed 3 (2011), Dig. Sow. Love. Grow. (2012), Ohio Grass (2013) and producing Heavy Reverie (2014) and Fireball of Sulk (2014) alongside Jim Wirt. The Gabbard Brothers also jumped into new territories with Zachary producing Handsome Jack’s Do What Comes Naturally and Andy recording his debut solo album Fluff, both released on Alive Naturalsound Records.
The band is currently holed-up in the country at their Howler Hills Farm’s analog studio working on their latest effort. Slated for Alive Naturalsound in 2016.
