I wouldn't say Chris "Jones" Davis has figured it out. Give it more time and you'll see his average drop even further.

Chris Davis has been pretty much ice cold the past couple weeks. Pretty much ever since i grabbed him in fantasy.

Kerry Wood retired. He lasted a lot longer than I expected with his history of injury.

Quote:
Miami-based Spanish language newspaper Cafe Fuerte reports that Aroldis Chapman is being sued for $18 million due to his alleged involvement of illegal activity while working with the Cuban State Security apparatus.
According to the report, which was translated for HardballTalk at NBCSports.com by Nick Collias of MLB Trade Rumors, Chapman "helped organize the arrest, imprisonment, and torture of a Cuban-American by the name of Danilo Curbelo García." It's hard to get many details at this point, but we're sure to hear more about this story before long.

Who's the best pitcher in baseball? Jared weaver, verlander or kershaw?

If Verlander pitched in the NL, or moreover the NL Central, he'd probably pitch a no-no or two every year.

halladay has yet to really dominate games like those 3 have this year. while halladay is the absolute best pitcher of the past five years he is starting to look human again at times. same with CC

Verlander over Kershaw, IMO...if we're talking about at this point in the year alone, I'd probably rank Hamels above Halladay...dude's been lights out for the most part...nice to see some young pitchers making their marks early in the season, too...watched Brandon Beachy absolutely dominate the Cards last weekend in STL...seems that he is really starting to pull it together (5-1, 1.33 ERA, 0.89 WHIP)...and while he plays in Verlander's shadow, this Drew Smyly kid is filthy, filthy, filthy.

Verlander.

I'd love to see what King Felix could do on a better team though. I bet it could do wonders for his mental approach to games.

If you take out the one bad game Halladay had against the Braves his ERA would be 2.29 and his WHIP would be .95. Those are pretty impressive numbers. The Phillies bullpen blew a few games for him so his W-L record doesn't look so great right now. However, this year Halladay is the Phillie second best pitcher. Hamels is ridiculous this year and my choice for Cy Young at this point in the year with Beachy and Straburg coming in 2nd and 3rd.

Time for the Rockies to trade for Kyle Seager, he seems to like the thin here in Denver. A lot more than the actual Rockies...who are just completely lifeless.

No, I doubt they would. Nor would the Rockies actually trade for them as their best prospect is a 3B and expected to be called up within the season at some point. I was joking around because he has been crushing the ball during this series. Alone he has inflicted more damage than the Rockies entire team.

mike rizzo was dead in when he called cole hamels a fake tough guy. Cole hamels did not prove any point in hitting Harper. He just showed how big of a douche he is. As good as hamels is pitching I dislike him more than any other right now

Hamels wasn't trying to prove a point to Harper. All Hamels did was give Harper his "welcome to the big league" moment. Gary Sheffiled had the same thing happen to him when he was a rookie. Nolan Ryan beaned him and he ran straight to first base. He was expecting to get hit and took it like a man just like Harper. When JT Snow first got called up he was on a tear. When he got his first chance to face Roger Clemens he took a fast ball right over his head. Again, he was expecting it. The difference between Harper and Sheffielld and Snow, was their GMs didn't have to act like a gorilla banging his chest to complain about a pitcher. They realized it's part of the game. They didn't have to coddle their superstars.

Mike Rizzo has been part of the Nationals organization since 2006. In 2007, on two straight pitches John Lannan broke Chase Utley's hand and then hit Ryan Howard. Rueben Amaro, the Phillies GM, didn't go to the media to blast John Lannan and call him "fake tough". If there is anyone who is a douche in this Hamels-Harper fiasco it's Mike Rizzo. He acted like those internet tough guys. Talking shit from a distant because he knows there won't be a reprocussions that he will have to face.

Berkman with a torn ACL. He said yesterday he'd possibly retire if he had torn his acl for a 2nd time.
