3 seven game series in the East. I got to say I didn't expect Ottawa to be this competitive.

So Torres gets 25 games, and Ron Artest gets 7?
Maybe apples and oranges, but one more reason I hate the NBA.
Stupid.

Thank you Capitals. So, if the Rangers win tonight at least the Flyers won't have to play them in the 2nd round. Rangers have the Flyers number. Beat them all 6 times during the regular season.

I'm not complaining that Boston got eliminated, but it looked like Knuble bumped into Thomas right before that goal was scored. I dunno, I wanted to stay up and watch the OT, and I would have if I would have know it would end so quickly, but I went to bed so all I saw were the highlights. Any mention of Knuble bumping him?

^Sad.

It's interesting that the last 4 cup winners have been eliminated in the first round. As has perennial disappointment Vancouver. Wonder what the ratings would be on a Florida-Phoenix final?

I haven't heard or read one thing about knuble bumping him. Sorry.

Can't wait to find out who our next victim is going to be. I wouldn't mind seeing the Caps send the Rangers home again.

Florida just tied it up with 3 minutes to go. too bad it's after 11. Bedtime.

I thought those sunshine state teams were hemorraging cash? Looked like that place was full. A fucking madhouse, to be precise. I guess it must be empty on the average regular season thursday game against Columbus. Or whoever.

I could easily write all of those off as "yes, shitty teams mean shitty attendence" but the Phoenix one puts a big ol' hole in that.

In defense of Phoenix, the Coyotes are in Glendale, a long commute from any city folk to see that team.

Still, fuck Canada.

My first round picks sucked, so these are the teams you should avoid choosing.

I take it back...i just read this:

"or the overtime goal in Game 7 in Boston, which some observers believe should have been disallowed and seen Mike Knuble called for goaltender interference. Here's hoping the officiating will become less of a story as this most curious of springs continues."

Too late now. To be honest it is only right seeing as the refs missed a ton of calls against us in that series and called some serious bullshit ones most notably the tripping penalty against schultz and holding against Chimera which was with 3 minutes left in game 7 of the playoffs.

Yeah that was gray area call on the ward goal cause knuble literally shoved his leg in Timmy T's 5 hole. But did it stop him from potentially making the save? ehh... I just think it ironic that once again, Mike Knuble plays a part in a game 7 GWG.... Better against Thomas than a now forgotten Huet.

I am on the fence about the PHX NSH series though, that really could go either way. The west is so tight, all the teams left play the similar styles. Come on...9 o'clock..

not forgotten. the blackhawks "loaned" him to a Swiss team at the start of the 2010-11 season to keep his ridiculous salary ($5.6 mil) away from the NHL's salary cap.
His contract was the beginning of the end of Dale Tallon in Chicago, methinks.
