I moved here in '99, and have been to quite a few shows... But, I've never been to ABC No Rio. Their website says the show starts at 3pm. Any idea when it will really start? Elder @ 5?

Props to Torche for getting some nice supporting slots, now with High On Fire obviously. Saw Kylesa open for HoF years ago, never cared for them that much.

Still, see you all on the 1st of August.

Haven't actually seen HoF since '07 I think, so this is long overdue. So glad they finally announced headlining dates, that's the only way I'll ever see that band and have ever seen them. If they're opening it's like they just crush and then whoever is on after is left in tatters. That's the power they have for me. This will be my 4th time seeing them headlining, more than any other band I've seen. Can't wait for this. Praying for a single song off the 1st and 2nd albums, don't really care which just want any love thrown that way. Make august get here sooner, please...?

ABC is an all ages, DIY spot (NO BAR!!!) and is in a gentrified residential neighborhood. They're usually pretty good on keeping close to schedule so they don't get noise complaints.

I'm probably gonna get to ABC No Rio pretty early and catch all of the bands. If they suck I'll just walk around the neighborhood for a while.

I am psyched to see HOF with Torche and Kylesa. I love Kylesa and I don't think I've seen Torche since Emissions.

I don't think Torche and Kylesa are opening anymore. They aren't listed on the Bowery Presents site. That would be fine by me... Torche are ok (thought they were better with the extra guitarist) and Kylesa's not my thing.

I already bought my tickets but whatever, I'm going to see HOF anyway.

I wonder who will open, and if they will be the same for both nights. Since I'm only doing one night, it would be nice to know. I like the Music Hall (size/sound) better, even though the Bowery is more convenient.

The YOB show at the Bell House on 5/23 is updated. Cough and Mike (YOB solo) will also be performing. Nice show.

07/15: Dirty Streets, Radio Moscow @ The Studio at Webster Hall
08/09: The Midnight Ghost Train @ Public Assembly

Super psyched about both of these shows. Dirty Streets I caught by accident once at Ace of Clubs and was blown away. Always thought they'd be great on a bill with The Brought Low.

Awesome! They played 4 songs, as opposed to the last time, when they only played 3.
The Acheron looks much more like a real venue, now. The inside is totally open, and the entrance is via the bar next door.

7/21 @ Saint Vitus - Mike Scheidt, Nate Hall, &
8/5 @ Saint Vitus - Hull, Fight Amp &

There's a shit ton of good shows happening at Vitus.

7/21 Mike Scheidt
7/23 Hammers Of Misfortune/Gates Of Slumber
7/27 Company Band/Black Cowgirl
8/5 Hull/Fight Amp
8/22 Wino/Conny Ochs

It's like they want me to neglect other venues for some reason.
