I didn't follow his music career much after Acid Bath and today I hear this:

How is this guy not more popular? This is great music...vocals are perfect...

He is great, but I cannot explain his (lack of) popularity ... but he is kind of popular, no? It's just that he's got kind of a cult following like a lot of less mainstream acts. But yeah, no MTV videos or whatever. (Does MTV show videos anymore?)

Definitely in my top 10 favorite artists. Not a huge fan of "Say Goonight...", but "We Sing of Only Blood or Love" is a masterpiece.

Dax is a must see live act...the last time I saw him, he packed out a small venue...nice to see such artists getting some attention...in related news, a metal site (can't remember which one; maybe MetalSucks) recently picked up on a rumor of an Acid Bath reunion...not sure how credible it was, but that shit needs to happen.

Love everything he's done. Missed Acid Bath by a cunt hair opening for DRI when something happened...van trouble or some shit. But I've seen him twice in bars in the last 5 years with about 40 people both times. Real shy dude, very nice though.

And Agents of Oblivion is one of the best albums ever.

He really sucked at SXSW a year ago, flat arrangements, timid vocals. But I hope that that was just a bad day and I'd definitely give him a second chance.

^ Give him another chance the next time he swings through your town...I've seen him five times, and only once was it meh-ish...the last two times were particularly good sets.

Seen him play live three times. I never miss him when he pays Mississippi a visit. He's a fairly socially awkward dude when you talk to him, but definitely got a great set of pipes on him.

Seen him a few times solo. Its always been good. I love that Agents of Oblivion album, don't really listen to his solo stuff much or deadboy but I'll go see him if he comes to town.
