I'm not even angry. I was never really a Kiss fan (strutter is ok), and I fully understand the need to stay relevant by any means possible AND I know bands that I do care about (Priest/Sabbath) are pretty much doing the same thing (Judas Priest on american idol last year!?).
I haven't watched TV in over 4 years, oh I'll get bits and pieces of what's going on when I visit my parents house...like sitting down with my mom this monday night to watch 'dancing with the stars' with her ;)

I went on vacation to Santiago, Chile last month and dudes down there get it. I saw young kids with long black hair in Metallica and Armored Saint t shirts (and they know every song). I saw thousands of posters under bridges and on subways for an upcoming Testament show, and I don't know that I've ever come across more rabid Iron Maiden fans in my life! Wow - refreshing!

I still have a soft spot in my heart for KISS since I am a child of the 70's and they were the band that turned me onto to music in the first place. BUT.... they are also the band that taught me that there is music and then there is entertainment.

That Kiss performance makes me sad in an 80's burgeoning divorce rate/hackneyed movie sequel kind of way.

Kiss from their inception have always been about mass-marketing themselves, maximum exposure and "selling out"(driven mostly by Gene). That they appeared on DWTS completely makes sense given their history, and anyone who would be shocked, dismayed or saddened by it is completely clueless imo.

is it rock and roll all night? I've always hated that fucking song, that and god gave rock and roll to you, two worst kiss songs ever but they can't stop fucking playing them.

Dynasty is BY FAR the best KISS album. Every song is awesome. And Gene has some kickass bass licks throughout.

I happen to think this is the record that started the ball Rolling for Peter and Ace to leave. The Ace track Hard Times is the heaviest thing on here and comes across as a big middle finger to "DKISSCO"

hey some of the things some of us have to do to find work, it doesn't help when everyone's knocking them like DWTS is the end of the world for them.
