Awesome trade between the warriors and bucks. The bucks get another legit scoring machine. The warriors with a healthy lineup could win the west

D'Antoni resigned, but no doubt it was a "resign or we fire you" situation. Knicks fixing the problem by not trying to fix the problem.

Clearly the problem is not 'Melo.

I disagree. Part of the problem is Melo, but not all of it. D'Antoni has an up tempo type of offense, but Carmelo isn't that type of player. He is more suited towards a half court game where they run isolation plays for him. I also think that the Knicks lack a true leader. The only guy I would consider a leader would be Tysom Chandler.

I think Adam was being sarcastic.

Knicks need people that are capable of playing defense. Chandler can't be the only one that does it. Lin's had some good defensive performances, but he often offsets them by having high turnover rates.

Nene traded in 3 team trade.

Haven't been able to watch any NBA games since I economized my cable plan but haven't listened to the local sports radio it sounds like the team had buyer's remorse with his recent contract. Sucks, I liked the guy, but he has long underperformed. He was really nice last year from what I remember but other than that he's solid but never more than a complementary to good type player it seems whose position made him more valuable than his play suggested.

Don't know much about this Mcgee guy but hopefully he's good. And maybe I missed something but what was the Clippers role in all this other than acquiring Nick Young? Did they actually give anything up or just get a free present?

Javale McGee is potentially dominant and hes a hard worker. He's just really fucking stupid. He makes boneheaded mistakes but he hustles while he does it. His talent capabilities are off the charts

Just what the Nuggets need...another bonehead with talent.

Guess they missed JR Smith more than I knew.

Last nights Celtics-Heat game is one example of why most people hate the NBA. It's ridiculous when the only star who played was Paul Pierce and that was for only 17 minutes. I understand teams want to rest guys for the playoffs, but league has become a fucking joke. Unless you're a die-hard basketball fan like myself, why would you watch? In the past I would watch the Sixers over the Flyers or Phillies if they were on at the same time. Nowadays, basketball comes last and I'm kind of upset by it.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion, but every sport has teams that choose to rest players once they've made the playoffs and others that like to play hard right up to the wire to carry it into the post-season. The Lakers, Clippers, Suns, Hawks, Jazz, Spurs, Grizzlies and Pacers have all been pedal to the metal and I've seen some fantastic games recently. I can't wait for the playoffs and I'm looking at Knicks/Heat, Clippers/Grizzlies, and Lakers/Dallas as must see tv.

Sure, the strike schedule sucked and caused injuries and forced coaches to rest players. Celtics are old. Doesn't seem like such a big deal to me, but I'm not buying tix for those games either.

Yes, but I assume not many teams want to meet them in the playoffs. They weren't very good before the All-Star break, but they have been on a tear since. KG has an advantage over other centers which he no longer had as a PF (although his defense was still great), and putting Avery Bradley in the starting lineup and Ray Allen on the bench seems to fix two problems (i.e. Boston getting of to a slow start in the first quarter, and having little bench production).

It will not be straight forward for them to bring back #18 (with Ray still being injured and Pietrus as well), but I wouldn't count them out. The Bulls in the second round could be hard though, I'd rather have them meeting Miami in the second round.

yeah man these guys have no heart these days. lets stop and be real for a second. and i love basketball. these guys are fucking pansies. there are a few that are straight up beasts but for the most part they are pansies. we need bill laimbeer jamming a fucking finger into bron brons eye. we need charles oakley to belly to back suplex blake griffin going for a rebound. most of these guys wouldnt even have a fucking job if it werent for their ability to put a ball through a hoop.but they act like they are entitled and that shit gets on my nerves. first off you shouldnt be able to be in the nba unless you have at least 3 years of college and 4 if the person has bad grades. im an nba owner im thinking to myself wow this guy is only 19 years old and hes showing up to the draft with 2 kids. he obviously doesnt have his priorities where i would want someone i am paying 5 million a year to sit on the bench the first 2 years because he isnt ready for the nba game. sorry for my rant

My answer to teams resting starters before the playoffs was to watch hockey instead. I didn't feel the need to tune in to a bench game, but I'm not against the idea. It's a business, and these teams are riding two or three guys all the way, or trying to. So it is protecting the investment.

As far as the entitlement of athletes, I think we've been over it enough. But it was a treat to have Frank Ramsey on with Tommy Heinsohn last week and fill in the youngsters like myself in the hard facts of the old NBA. Relentless schedule, low pay, etc. If I "got it easy" compared to my factory working wage slave ancestors, so too do LeBron and Garnett in comparison to those esteemed gentlemen.

After today's crippling injuries, I am a little nervous for the already shaky Celtics.

And Miami butchered the Knicks at birth like Cannibal Corpse.

I skipped the Knicks game in favor of watching the Yankees lose. Sounds like it was an infuriating game to watch on many fronts.

Mavs/OKC was totally awesome, though. Fucking Durant, man.

I don't watch these foul calling contests. I know it'd be hard to gamble on which way the refs are going today, but there sure isn't any basketball, none of them can play. it's about fouls, so boring, maybe it's the short season that I'll continue not to watch, glance a few times to prove how boring they are. you can probably bet on the series, like game 7, but the rest is never real anyway, some way to cover up the fact that there's all this corporate sponsors' money flying around on a product that's sorry, stage a few dunks to keep interest up, get someone in there to make some wide open 3's, that's about all they got to work with.

What an awesome day in sports, Clippers with a miracle win, Lakers put a hurting on the Nuggets, Dodgers sweep a good Nats club and the Kings are making me tune in to hockey.

Rondo fucked up. Go Hawks.
