The man is 66 today. I am now 28. In celebration of both of these occasions, I will be blaring No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith and drinking enough vodka to put down two midgets.

Also eating my homemade Brooklyn Blackout cake, thanks mom.

How's ya'll celebrating this momentous occasion?

Pub this afternoon, two pints of Old Slug porter, home for bangers and mash and highly-chilled tunes.
Lovely Mrs is working 7am-3 tomorrow, so I'll mostly be drinking beer and cooking all morning so as to present a delicious feast (and mildly wobbly husband) when she gets home from work.

Fun and games.

I'm glad it worked out for Lemmy. He is a scholar and a gentleman. I saw Motorhead open for Black Sabbath in 1995 and it based on that crowd and the tastes at the time, it didn't seem like there was much longevity for either of those bands. But, you know, both of those band are pretty big now while B.O.C. plays county fairgrounds.

Happy Birthday to Lemmy, Jeff et al. We celebrated by having the extended family over. Fired up the BBQ as is the Australian way - threw a roll of turkey and a roll of pork on top of the coals. It came out beautifully.

At about 12.00pm it started to get pretty dark and a storm seemed likely. Not that uncommon in Melbourne during summer. This is what we copped:

We were fine but plenty of people up the road had their houses flooded
