Anyone have any info on this? From all the pictures and video I've seen it pretty much looks like paradise.

For example:

I mailed the organizers earlier this weekend about the date this year, still waiting for feedback. But you gotta be patient, Dunajam runs at its on pace.
I've been there two times so far and the whole experience is mindblowing, closest you can get the spirit of the generator parties today. And a perfect combination of a beautiful beach vacation and rocking out for a week - with great Italian food to boot.
Anyway, I'll try to go there again but it might conflict schedule-wise with a hospital-stay of my son this year.

Never had the funds for it but one day...
I guess this year would maybe have been a good excuse - looks like a good place for a honeymoon - but still out of reach.

I see a flyer of Duna Jam every day on my wall. One day. It's founded/run by BB right?

BB aka Brant Bjork was part of Dunajam in the beginning but in last few years Colour Haze was the mainstay, playing every time and supplying most of the equipment.

I'm following this thread closely

I'm plotting to go there with the GF and the two toddlers, gonna be awesome

With the two electrohasch tours in the works this spring I can't really see how Stefan/colour haze can have time left to put this on so, here's to hoping anyway

Its happening (first half of June presumably) but its very low key since the whole thing is only semi-official. Don't wait for any updates on the site, because the organizers probably don't bother with it. Contact them via the email-address on the Dunajam-page.

I'd love to go, think it usually falls when I'm working at a festival though

oh i'd love to go, I always thought id prefer it to Hellfest too, as an additional fest to Roadburn of course, itd be way more relaxing, id rather go to Italy than France and the location looks amazing, even the line-ups are chilled out....

Duna Jam does not work like a regular festival, its 150 people and some locals. Its all word of mouth, who is playing the next day and where. Nobody checks tickets (there aren't any) and there are no single day passes.
If you want to go for a day, mail the organizers, explain your situation and maybe you can work something out. But usually that is something they try to avoid because they have to keep the whole thing small so there is no friction with the locals. As far as I know the organizers don't have a permit and the festival is tolerated by the local officials as long as it does not get out of hand.

So did anyone go in June? How was it? I asked Stefan if there was any chance Colour Haze would come to the U.S. aside from one festival in 2006, they just don't do it, as the other guys in the band have jobs. I asked what would be a good time to see them in Europe, and he said Duna Jam.

Sort of hard to plan a trip when they don't set dates though!

The dates are always very set. They send out all the updates by mail. Just write to dunajam@gmail.com. you should be talking to Oli. I was all set to go last year and it fell through. May be next year. If you're interested, they start sending you updates by mail including the lineup announcements, any deals on cars and so on. There were a few from SR.com who attended multiple times - may be they can chime in.

Basically, you pay 500 euros or so for the whole duration. It includes food and stay, and of course the festival. They encourage the whole community thing, so everyone gets together in the morning for breakfast and the day's schedule is announced and they also decide where the action is going to be. Then everyone helps carrying the gear around. Stefan usually brings his amps down, and Colour Haze is sort of like a curator of the event.

It's a good deal and promises to be a very unique concert experience. I wish I could take some time off and do this.

I went there this year for the third time and it was great as usual. Costs go beyond the 500 Euro-mark since you pay 400 Euro for the festival and a 100 euro-advance for the room. The prices for the rooms differ, the eventual costs will be around 250 Euro incl. breakfast (minus the advance). Add to that the rental car (can't do without it but its easy to find somebody to share) and food/beer/merch and you are up to 800/900 Euros without the flight.

I know I am spoiled but after three times I am ready to move on and find a new playground for next year (was the same after three years of Roadburn). But if you can cough up the money and find the time you should really go, it is an unique experience. The people are very cool, the bands enthusiastic, the area extremly beautiful and the food something else.

As EugenicScum said, contact Oli early through the gmail-address. It might take some time to get an answer but its the only way to get the information since no official annoucements will be made.

There are bunch of videos from this year on youtube. I missed Karma To Burn and Yawning Man because I had to leave a day early (it was 10 instead of 7 days this year, a looong time to party and rock out). My favorites this year were the Entrance Band, Lonely Kamel and Davila 666.

1000 Euros for 10 days is a great deal. May be an additional 4 days to see some Italy. I think there's a decent holiday idea for next year.

Yeah, you gotta see it as a holiday, and adding a few extra days before and after is a good idea too.

I wrote them back in August but still haven't heard details, dates, lineup, or even if I got an invite. Kind of hard to plan a 10 day trip to Italy if I don't know these things :( Anyone else know anything?

Yeah, its in the works, sometime in June. The info I have is confidential, sorry, but some cool bands are mentioned. Really don't want to tease you with this but if I break this info on the net I'm on the shitlist and because of the inofficial nature of the festival the whole thing might be in danger if anything goes viral.
Try to contact Oli through dunajam@gmail.com. Don't expect an immediate answer but if he doesn't answer in a week there are probably no places left.

Man, that Colour Haze video is incredible. I'd love to get to this some day.
