This was a nice read this morning to help keep track of who and where they might go. Go Pats!

I do my own league as many know and are on, but if anyone has one going and needs a body, let me know.

The fact that Favre is drawing interest kind of made me queasy...but it wouldnt be a bad fit as Kolb to Arizona seems inevitable

The best thing about this lockout being lifted is that I haven't had to hear anything about Favre to the Eagles. Just the idea of that made my blood boil no matter how much truth or fiction that is.

Next couple weeks should be crazy in the NFL. Should be tons of fun.

ESPN is in a masturbatory froth this AM re: this BC linebacker Herzlich signing with the Giants...glad he overcame cancer, but who really gives a flying fuck about him getting a free agent deal?

it is fun, from a fanatic's standpoint, to watch the flurry of activity.

I avoided the lock-out talk, for the most part..just read headlines, so it's definitely cool to get back in the mix..reading all the storylines on free agents. Undrafted free agents do not make for a good story though, you're right..NFL Network is now my #1 channel for getting updated/news.

Kolb just went to Arizona, which is definitely an upgrade. This is when you have to wonder, just how much behind the scenes tampering went on. Just how effective is Kolb going to be in a new offense if he's just handed the playbook today/tomorrow? I wonder..this deal was as good as done weeks, if not months, ago..so you have to wonder if he's been under some sort of coaching. I bet alot of free agency talks went on behind the scenes with verbal agreements the past few months. Kolb was looking for real estate in Arizona weeks/months ago, so it's kind of telling.

I've liked what I've seen of Kolb...if I'm an Arizona fan, I'm thinking he can't be any worse than last year's series of QB debacles...

Nothing official yet with Kolb in regard to Arizona as far as I have found.

I want to see where Mcnabb lands. I have always been a big fan of his and blame his year of suck last year in Washington's lap (though I would have to guess he does share some of the blame). I still think he has something left in the tank and think he can surprise some heads if he lands in the right situation. Right now I am guessing he goes to Seattle.

Barnett set to be released from Packers.

I read Kolb to Arizona deal right off screen ticker on the NFL Channel this morning, but not on there anymore..oh well. They must have jumped the gun to get the press release.

as a vikings fan, i really hope they stay away from mcnabb. he couldn't get it done in his prime with a pretty great supporting cast, what's he gonna do this late in the game?

No Kolb trade and apparently the Seahawks have entered the picture.

Seahawks have reportedly signed Tavaris Jackson which would seem to put an end to the Kolb to Seattle rumors and my prediction of Mcnabb to Seattle.

Mcnabb to Minny has picked up steam with rumors that a deal is worked out between the 2 teams and a contract restructuring the obstacle.

Quote:
Donovan McNabb - QB - Redskins

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports the "parameters" of a Donovan McNabb trade to the Vikings are in place, but agreeing on financial terms "could be tricky."
LaCanfora is going one step further than Adam Schefter's previous report, suggesting the Vikings and Redskins have agreed on compensation. McNabb's only motivation for agreeing to a restructured deal is preventing the Redskins from holding him hostage until September. McNabb still sees himself on the same level as Peyton Manning, so the contract is no small hurdle. McNabb does know Leslie Frazier from their three years together in Philadelphia, however, so that may be incentive to work out an arrangement.

Kevin Kolb - QB - Eagles

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora confirms the Seahawks are out of the Kevin Kolb derby after reaching an agreement with Tarvaris Jackson.
Seattle is still looking for a third QB, but that is likely to be in the form of a Pete Carroll-Matt Leinart reunion. The Eagles may have overplayed their hand with a 24-48 hour delay to let a market develop for Kolb.

Matt Hasselbeck signed with the Titans. This basically leaves the Cardinals as the only team the Eagles can trade Kolb to. I'm sort of hoping the Cardinals decide to go after Kyle Orton instead and this entire fiasco backfires in Andy Reid's face.

Mcnabb apparently approves trade to Minnesota..I think thats a good fit. Moreso than Favre, thats for sure. Minnesota could come out of this division looking pretty if mcnabb has a chip on his shoulder. If we get the sulking, loafy Mcnabb, then they sink. Tough division..hope he's game for it.

Jets re-up Santonio Holmes for 5 years.

Jets are also reportedly in "serious talks" with Asomugha who is willing to take less to play for a contender and Mark Sanchez is willing to restructure his deal to make it work. Revis and Asomugha together would be a pretty sick duo.

AZ must be ecstatic about all the QB movement. Now all they have to do is get the Eagles to believe they are interested in Orton and Philly screwed themselves over by waiting this one out so long. They should take DRC and be done with it at this point. It would be nice to see them get a draft pick too.

Mcnabb in Minny could be fun. Peterson, Harvin, that TE....and we'll see what they do with Rice or do to replace him. I've never been able to root for Minny but maybe now I could a little.

We forgot just how much of an absolute diva McNabb can be. He was reportedly concerned Tuesday night about "how the Vikings' side of the situation was handled." He may have been Minnesota's fallback plan to Tyler Thigpen, which can't be easy on the old ego. With the proper amount of kowtowing, the Vikings are ultimately expected to assuage McNabb.

Honestly, there are times that I am embarrassed for liking him. If this is indeed true....wow, grow some fucking balls dude.

Why would anybody be excited about having McNabb at this stage in his career?...Minnesota should finish last in the division w/ or w/o him...their defense is in shambles, and McNabb will be on the shelf w/in a game or two of division play...his old ass won't be able to withstand the abuse...Packers, Lions and Bears will blitz him into retirement...

'Excited' would be an overstatement for me..I just think it's an upgrade IF he plays with some fire and is in shape. I'll take him over Favre or Tavaris. like I said, it's sink or swim in a tough division. Can't focus so much on Peterson with Mcnabb getting the ball down the field to some nice receivers..it's a big 'if'

I'd like to say Lions are the team to watch, but we say that every year...lets change that to, with some luck on their side injurywise, they should compete.

I dont like Cutler in that offense, and never did like him much at all..reminds me of Bledsoe **blech*, but I do like the Bears D

I'm not sold on the Packers still...it's the cynic in me. I thought they played an uninspiring superbowl. Rodgers was too off and on during the year and their running game is kind of meh.

Deangelo Williams resigns with Carolina for 5 years, $43 million. $21 million guaranteed.

Why go crazy and over pay for a 28 year old running back when you already have Jonathan Stewart???? They should have gone wide receiver if they wanted to spend on offense.

And will Steve Smith be traded? Its been awfully quiet on that front.

How can effective can Mcnabb be when he is over 260 lbs, has lost a step or two and is not an accuarate passer? At least they still have AP.

Yahoo titled this as "EX-OSU Star Humiliated" so I checked it out. Doesn't seem like he was humiliated but OSU doing him a favor and ensuring he can be eligible for the supplemental draft, as the NFL was debating whether he would have been eligible for it since he actually chose to leave his college program rather than being deemed ineligible which is what the supplemental draft is intended for. OSU helped him out there by making him ineligible.

McNabb is definitely an upgrade for the Vikes, which is an indictment on their atrocious QB play and their awful Ponder pick...even as a Bears lifer, I find no hope in Cutler, but by now, I'm used to shit QBs...he's the best of a bad, bad line of them in Chicago...I actually think the Lions might break through this year even if Stafford's porcelain arm gets fucked up again...there are bound to be a lot of 10-7 and 13-10 games in division play that will be decided in the trenches and the Lions are going to be strong as hell, if not overpowering at times, on the d-line...all that said, the fuckin' Pack - how I loathe them - have got to be the odds on fav to win the division...they're just too damn good on both sides of the ball...

I just read something dated June 2011, that states he's been training and he's in great shape..listed at 220 and working out daily during the lockout

^ Interesting...I'm a little surprised he's going to a team that wears white pants though as the fear-induced piss stains are far too easily seen...kidding aside, I don't see McNabb holding up physically in that division, regardless of his physical condition...he's an upgrade for a team that had one of the worst QB situations in the league...kind of like being the king of shit mountain...
