i'm getting the super deluxe Complete Rocketeer by dave stevens in the mail any day now and my nips are so hard you could cut glass. don't know how familiar with dave stevens you are but, damn, easily one of the best comic illustrators ever.

Here's the newest project

concept cover for the forthcoming lost machine album

planets were sketched, then scanned and enhanced in Autodesk SketchbookPro, background was drawn into Sketchbook on the Wacom, layout done in illustrator. Ship was actually modeled in 3D in Google Sketchup to really nail the prospective and scale of things (triangular surfaces are really fuckin hard for me to visualize and foreshorten) then traced over in Sketchbook.

Basically I've used a buncha tools, and still got a bit of work to do, but I dig it so far.

I dont suppose anyone has any spare time or spare images kicking around and could help me with a gig poster? Im putting on a show all profits to Red Cross and an animal rescue charity in Japan but iv been struggling with the poster and cant foresee a time in the near future where i'll get some proper time to do it, if anyone can help id be really greatful!
