Wed 04/23: Atomic Bitchwax, Mirror Queen, Mountain High, Blackest @ St Vitus

Just a heads-up... Mountain High sound like Bongzilla sans vocals. Not that anyone around here cares, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

Hey, Odie!

Weekends are looking a bit grim, although you have missed a bunch a good ones recently. The next weekend show that looks good to me is HULL (and Bloody Hammers) on Sat May 17 @ St Vitus.
I don't know how someone can't rock the fuck out to this:

This weekend is the Northside Festival, and there are a couple good shows.
Deville (Sweden) is playing an early show on Sat.
Ruby the Hatchet is playing Sunday.
The Golden Grass is on both of those bills.

Oddly, 3 bands have the word "Pussy" in their name, and none of them are Black Pussy.

Saw Deville today/tonight... felt bad for the band due to the lack of any crowd. They came all the way from Sweden (first time in the US) and played last at a daytime show which wasn't the right bill (or venue) for them. They were pretty good, and their last song was worth the price of admission- a long, heavy one.
Bought a shirt and an album to make their NYC experience slightly less shitty.
