GREG GINN AND THE ROYAL WE SUMMER TOUR
June 11th, 2012, Austin, Tex. -- Greg Ginn and The Royal We, Ginn's solo electro-instrumental project, has booked a summer tour.
Greg Ginn and The Royal We's debut album, We Are Amused, was released on SST in November and was hilariously described by Rolling Stone as "Black Sabbath scoring a Godzilla movie." Ginn plays guitar, bass, theramin and synthesizer on the release with a host of effects to create the lush and loosely psychedelic release. Live, Ginn utilizes a Mac combined with a wall of amp racks and speakers to create the powerful sound.
Earlier this year, Greg Ginn and The Royal We went on a West Coast tour preceding two performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Mojack's Hijinks - Hijinks is the fifth CD from the instrumental group Mojack. Tony Atherton (sax) and Greg Ginn (guitar/bass) are joined this time around by the amazing drummer Khalil Hebert. The result is a kinetic combination of driving grooves and guitar/sax interplay.
Playing in my town, but I dont know if I really give a crap. Greg Ginn could be playing xylophone or lighting his farts and a hundred people would show up. Funny how that happens... punk rock O.G.s become the very thing they railed against in the 80s: dinosaurs who draw rabid crowds on the virtue of name alone, coasting along on their long gone glory days, about as threatening as an elderly golden retriever.
Don't tell Greg I said that. Motherfucker will have me killed.
