People who say, "Oh I don't watch television"

I went without TV for 5 years and a half years in one house I lived in and didn't miss it one bit. I don't get much time to watch TV these days but when I do, I usually find something decent to watch. By getting back to the original post, people who say "oh I don't watch television" are usually the ones that depend on it the most.

I grew up with it (70's), couldn't deal in the 80's, mostly didn't/couldn't deal in the 90's, and only recently have gotten back into it, but I never held watchers in negative moral judgement. Folks that do that almost certainly have pursuits of equal or lesser moral ground. (like, judging others )

I agree! At least Youtube has taken over what television used to do for me.

I still watch television,but very rarely,and when I do I usually like watching something retro like The Rockford Files or maybe even the occasional Seinfeld episode.

One of the NEGATIVE aspects of Orwell's "1984" and Big Brother is TELEVISION!!! Some stats: do you know what the first facility an army invades in a war? Some people say barracks, others say parliament.....NONE of these....it's the TV stations...and that's because TV has a manipulative grasp on human minds that if you take it over, you will have won half the war!!!!!!!
What is the first thing people do when crossing the threshold of their homes when returning from work in the evening? Some people say switch on the lights, others say take off their overcoats, etc. .....NONE of these...they SWITCH ON THE TV SET!!!!!!!!!
Because of aLL of this and many more HIGHLY NEGATIVE things, I HAVE come to dislike TV to the bone.....TV will NOT fool me....beware don't let it fool YOU:):):):):)!!!!

As far as comedies are concerned, TV is the way better option right now. So many good shows out there. Can't think of a good comedy movie that I've seen recently. TV has gotten really good over the past 5-10 years, I agree. Tons of crap but there is more good stuff now. HBO is big reason.
