I always thought their Other Voices album is very underrated. Ray had a great voice too, maybe not as good as Jim's but he was decent.

Anyways my all-time favorite Doors song right here...

I think that's their heaviest song. Sounds like they listened to Sabbath.

Probably "Strange Days", but "Not to Touch the Earth" has really become a big hit here over the last couple of years.

huh, I had no idea they did that. I listened to the track; none menace/danger/emotion of the other The Doors stuff. What else were they gonna do though, I guess? Its funny that this exists.

Now that I spun that again, it really isn't that bad. The vocals/lyrics are a bit cringe-worthy though.

In the spirit of the thread, here is Strange Days. Apparently an original music video the band put together after Jim passed(?). I don't know. It's pretty cool, but the chronology of the band footage is all over the place.

Ditto on Waiting for the Sun. Love Her Madly is the song I have to the most attachment to, though.

Roadhouse Blues

For whatever reason, I just can't get into them aside from that song.

Queen of the Highway is my fav, but i dig all of their stuff, probably more than most. Strange Days is my fav album overall i think though.
Others on my top list of doors songs:
Whiskey, mystics, and men
Not to touch the earth - and that whole celebration of the lizard stuff that goes with it.
Wild child
Lamerica
Cars hiss by my window
The end and when the musics over are obvious favorites.

I just found out lately Ray also released a solo album during the 70's called The Golden Scarab...

Really awesome stuff. Up there with alot of good obscure psych.

That one I've known about. I'm still a bit blown away they recorded a The Doors album without Jim.
