The Freeks have a new album coming out, as well as a new lineup. This is Ruben Romano's band, with Tom Davies from Nebula and Hari from Roadsaw on drums. Scott Reeder recorded it and Tom is mixing it. They're financing the pressing for this via kickstarter, so if you want to help out and get a preordered CD or Vinyl and a kick-ass poster in the process, here's the link:

They've got until Sunday or they don't get shit and you won't get to hear it/own it for much longer while they raise the money. I got to master 4 of the tunes for a pre-release show with Mudhoney Sunday, and it's pretty kick-ass! Manic psych freak-out music!

I'm checking out their show next week with Ultra Electric Mega Galactic and Blaak Heat Shujaa. I'll have to go to the free on in Fullerton. So I can keep the funds to purchase merch.

I'll be at them there gigs too Crutch. I'm going to try and hit at least 3, possibly 4 (if I'm feeling salty) of these Ultra Electric Mega Galactic gigs April 17th - 21st. Too good to pass up, too good a band to miss driving-distance shows. And the one on the 18th is with Yawning Man too, which totally smokes...

Gonna try to make the show in Fullerton too. Trying to kick this nasty chest cold. I want to go to the show Sunday too, but I'm booked in the studio until about 11. Maybe after that with fried ears!
