The season will be starting very shortly. I know my Flyers won't go to far, but I like some of the new additions. Anyway, here is what Steve Mason's mask will look like this year.

I'm excited to see how the Wings do with the new additions and playing in the East. Also excited to see how the young Avs come together. If they can play some decent defense they'll be in the mix for a playoff spot.

I can't wait for the season to start, and I truly think the Wings will be Cup contenders this year. One key ingredient, though...is that Darren Helm FINALLY get his back problems resolved.

Reading about training camp for the Avs. Hard not feel a tinge of excitement for the Roy era.

I'm definitely down. If we can get enough guys I can set a league up.

I'd be down. Maybe the Obelisk draft will be kinder to me than my other fantasy team.

I can set it up,or someone else can, but my one lock for joining is auto-draft.
My life is way too busy for live draft.

Ive done yahoo several times, its free, and easy.

Also, Crutch? Detroit (and black aspirin) left the division, and we got the Av's, i guess... you are now the object of my hockey derision, by default.

Hawks vs wings for the cup, MAKE IT SO!!!

So far it seems we have myself, Mr. Neutron and Crutch. We would probably need at least 8 guys to make it a competitive league.

I promise, the Avalanche are the least of your concerns. Truth be told, I don't really see a team in the west that is better than the Hawks this season.

Such a shame. I liked the Hawks too. Now they are the object of my hockey envy and resentment.

I'm in for fantasy.

MY girlfriend this year is going to be Columbus, I can't wait for Philly and the other eastern conference team try that run and gun shit with Columbus.

The Hawks did a pretty good job with roster turnover this year, IMO.
However, in a full length season, anything can happen. Hossa gets head-shotted again, Crawford gets injured, Kane goes on an epic bar crawl....
Should be fun.

everyone is saying that the Devils will suck this year because of the departure of Kovy and problems carrying over from last season, but I don't see it. I'm amped.
Ryder and Jagr are solid additions and they just added Damien Brunner.

drop the puck already. i like it when there are no expectations on my team.

I'll set it for ready 2 days before the season starts.
Is everyone cool with the default rules?

I'll make any changes necessary to scoring, or rosters that need to be done.

Kinda disappointed in John Scott, who has always been a class-act, IMO. That was weak on his part.

Lot of dumb going on there.
Clarkson leaving the bench (automatic 10 game suspension) , kessel going after scott with his stick, not once, but twice.
Mark the next TO vs BUF game on your calender, Im sure there'll be at least one Orr vs Scott go around.

Yeah, if you need a league champion, please let me know. Would love to play!

Nevermind... Think I got it.

Was in Las Vegas in July. Bet $100 on CBJ to win the Cup @ 40-1 odds. $4000 would pay for my playoff tickets, plus the plane ride back out to Cesar's.

Happy w/CBJ so far this pre-season, but it's only pre-season.

It must be nice to have $100 to piss away like that. Seriously...are you nuts?

Columbus might surprise a bit, seems like they started to figure it out last year, but new conference....

Black Aspirin, are you in for fantasy?
Yahoo league names don't correspond to names here, so I'm not sure who's in.

So, Im gonna set the draft for Sunday.
My only issue with the default settings is acquisitions per week.
I'd like to limit it to 2, we're set up with 1 IR slot, and it's a small league so far. With no stakes.

any objections to limiting that aspect?

I'm not a fan of limiting acquisitions per week. To many injuries happen on a daily basis.

I'm not going to be on any team with less than 15-1 odds. Need some pay off. Also bet $50 on the Flyers @ Treasure Island for 30-1 odds. The flight to Vegas plus hotel was $1200. We took plenty of money for gambling. Our CBJ season ticket is $2600. My wife would've killed me if I bet on sports & not on a team for which we root.
