Actually, nice articles inside on Ghost and Electric Wizard. I didn't know the members of Ghost keep their identities secret. The frontman looks like the figure on the album cover.

He looks like the horror santa from the latest Dutch horror movie.

But can anyone really blame them? It sells obviously, hence them being on the front cover. Hopefully some teenybopper suburban metalhead will scoop up a copy, see the picture of Ghost and have his vision of rock n' roll revamped. More then likely not. But fuck it.

It is true that they are just trying to sell magazines and creep a bit into Kerrang!'s territory.

That said (and as cliche as it is saying, coming from a codger), it's disappointing how much of a lame-assed generation Generation Y has developed into if that's the best they can come up with as far as extreme music goes.

As an aside, I went down to Barnes & Noble tonight to pick up the latest Terrorizer and couldn't bring myself to do it with the main features revolving around Evile, Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth, so I picked up Zero Tolerance instead. Never checked it out before, but it appears to be on the MUCH heavier GRYMNESS scale than Terrorizer. If you remember your ex-Metal Maniacs scribes, Nathan T. Birk is one of the bigger ZT contributors, so that's the general direction of this zine. Published out of England, as Metal Hammer and Terrorizer are.
