Greetings All,

There's a new Boston-based band and it's called "Second Grave".

Here's the elevator pitch:

Mixing equal parts of Heavy Rock, Doom, and Metal—Second Grave, a Massachusetts–based band—is set to embark on its maiden voyage in late summer of 2012.

Second Grave was born when drummer, Chuck Ferreira (ex-Nodscene, independent) contacted singer/guitarist, Krista Van Guilder (ex-Warhorse, ex-Lucubro, ex-Obsidian Halo), offering his drumming services, should she ever wish to start a new heavy project. As fate would have it, Ms. Van Guilder eventually took him up on the offer, and along with guitarist Chris Drzal (ex-Suckapunch, ex-Obsidian Halo) they began hashing out song ideas and sowing the early seeds of rock. Months later, the missing piece was added with the addition of Dave Gein (Black Pyramid, ex-Gein and the Graverobbers) on bass, and Second Grave was officially born.

Second Grave will begin playing live dates—August 30th @ Ralph’s in Worcester, Massachusetts—as well as releasing a 4 song E.P. the same month.

Stay tuned for updates, show postings, EP downloads, and all other details of their plans for world dominance.

The new EP (co-produced by Clay Neely of Black Coffee Sound)is now available for streaming/downloading here:

Wait, so Gein's in both BP and Second Grave or did he leave BP?

I think the word "alum" is misleading, my bad. Yes, Gein's still in Black Pyramid AND Second Grave.

He is also in a Samhain Tribute Band. He is a mysterious man with many hidden talents.

For anyone on this board who is in the Boston/Worcester area, here's a write-up for Second Grave's debut show, coming up next week @ Ralph's Rock Diner in Worcester.

Thanks for all the support.

Seriously, Covet could be a huge hit. Maybe a edited down version would be needed for radio but I don't think it's a stretch to say it could hit tons of play on any modern rock station(I assume those still exist). Someone needs to get this into the hands of some major media honcho.
