WooHoo! I finally figured out to post a damn YouTube video! Also, I have stumbled across another collection for sale with all kindsa crap I've never heard of! A post to follow...

Also, humble thanks to all actively participating in this thread. I love this stuff. 60s & 70s hard rock, punk, & psych is totally where it's at for me.

Love those guys. They show up on all kindsa comps, plus, I've got a CD & LP that covers a lot of the bases. This song crushes me everytime I hear it.

Excellent, all of their stuff is top-notch, such a great band.

My favorite 80s lo-fi outsider tune. Thought the recording was better than this when I posted it. Might have to reshoot it & re-post.

Loved the sigh, die, cry one. but that's US Garage. Psych is a whole other animal.

There's both 60s pysch & garage on the Nuggets box & none of it is especially out of place with the other. I'm wet for "Goin' All The Way" by The Squires tune which is one of the ferocious garage rock tunes ever put to tape.

& what does the Toe Fat or Toe Fat 2 records sound like? I'm so eager to get them on my turntable!

Latin American scene, early 70s:

Yes, there was an scene back in the 60s, lysergic acid was still legal and so were imported vinils (militar government made them hard to get since the late 60s).

I saw Los Dug Dugs when I lived in Mexico in 1995 at some hotel bar next to the old Hotel de Mexico that they were refurbishing to make it the World Trade Center or something like that. It wasn't the same as the records. They were doing Dylan & Pink Floyd covers & none of it was too wild.

M.J. Shaft had a bunch of Latino 60s punk/psych downloaded to his 'puter that he showed a glimpse of back on the old SR.com board like Los Saicos & I don't remember what all else. It was a nice collection as I recall.

Other than the CD on Birdman, the one Prunes record I have is the cult record.

I'm more into obscure 70's heavy psych but I like the 60's too. I just find more variety and better heavy sounds in the 70's bands for some reason. I've known about that High tide record since the early 00's and I've got a few obscure albums in my collection now.

Here are some of my favorite 60's Psych:

Odyssey

Bitter Creek

Womb

The Crazy World of Arthur Brown

Federal Duck

Coven

As far as the 70's, I just discovered this Aardvark band lately too. Heavy Psych freakout!!!!!

:)

It happens every so often.

I saw "Los Saicos" (the "Psycho-ones") last year, and man it was crazy.
One would expect they became softer and mellower after more than 4 decades, and they did...

...but see what´s left from that 1965 album:

Sweden's own Mecki Mark Men are really good, check 'em out. There was a huge scene there in the end of the sixties, that's where dungen and graveyard get their inspiration.

I can't stand the drippy stuff like that Outsiders song, on the other hand I'm on a big Arf!Arf! binge since this morning. Some fat tones here and there.

Yeah, I didn't mean to limit the title of the thread, but I wasn't thinkin' & the stuff I'd just stumbled across was mostly 60s. As I stated in the one post, I dig 60s & 70s hard rock, punk, & psych. Please feel free to post about that kind of obscure mayhem.

Am I late to the party?

Anyway, if you are not familiar with, you've got to check out:
Morgen - Morgen
The Plastic Cloud - The Plastic Cloud (Great Fuzz lead on 90% of the album)
Dragonfly - Dragonfly
It's All Meat - It's All Meat
Tomorrow - Tomorrow

First 4 are more guitar driven, Tomorrow is a UK group so more Popsike.
