I only just realized this came out, last year. Besides the fact I'd watch or listen to about anything Morphine related, this actually looks pretty deep too.

I've been listening to a ton of Morphine lately and been reading more and more about Mark Sandman from articles I can find on the internet. He was a very talented dude, but obviously had some issues.

When I learned of his death it came as a total surprise to me as I had kind of lost what Morphine were doing since 'Yes' (just kind of lost the plot with them a bit). I think his death bums me out more than any other music related death I can think of along with Dio & MCA. Just a real loss.

Great band. I had to the privilege of seeing them for a buck on a Monday night in Santa Cruz after Good came out. Thanks to Mark Johnson for turning me on to them. I'll definitely check this out, thanks for the heads up!

Huge Morphine fan. Sandman was the inspirato for the "baguitar" I used on the early Trash Titan stuff. Loved that he was able to use the bass in such a non bass way, yet it never felt like a gimmick at all.

I was also in a short lived band where I used a two string bass tuned ala Sandman (not inspired by the guy from Disneyland After Dark).

Definitely sucks that he died, but at least he was able to go out on stage. Kind of like how distance runner Micah True recently went out running. A lot of people were bummed, but he went out doing what he loved. There are worse ways to go. Drug deal gone wrong. Cannibals. AIDS. Space AIDS.

that looks promising.

be a nice double feature (for me at least) with the split lip rayfield doc.
