Very interesting. I'd heard a version of the Lord Howe Isle wipeout before, another eco cautionary tale told in class, like the mosquitoes & Hawaii or cats & Australia.

This is every cryptid conspiracy theorists wet dream -- a mysterious isle full of disappeared weird creatures. Now someone go find Cañón de Chupacabra.

That is pretty cool. Evil looking island. Giant insects that like to cuddle. Just goes to show, people really have walked or climbed or crawled on just about every damned piece of solid ground on this planet, regardless of whether it be hospitable or nearly impossible to access. If it's there, they'll find a reason. Curiosity more often than not. The world is our oyster. Or stick bug.
