Baby was born to my wife's sister about 6 weeks early. Only problem is they named it Tyler. All these kids and their new names. My niece is Sage and my other nephews are Tyler, Walker and Emmett.

Puts an awful lot of pressure on a child to be a unique snowflake to have such a landmark name.

My brother in "law" named his spawn Haeden and Harper. While I appreciate the same letter trend (me: Russell, brother: Richard) I wasted a two birthday cakes by telling the baker to spell Haedens name incorrectly (Hayden...a more common spelling) on two separate occasions.

Also congratulations on the little munchkin addition to you and yours.

I totally spent all day yesterday thinking about that George Carlin bit, too. "Hi Todd, I'm Tucker." "Hi Tucker, I'm Todd." Brilliant.

This is funny on several levels for me. My 4th niece was born around 2 months ago, whose name is Kaylor, and her older sister (age 7) is named Kinley.

My name is Brandon, and my two younger sisters are named Brooke and Brittney. And to top it all off, to reference the George Carlin piece (a hero of mine), my middle name is Todd. So my parents are exactly who he was making fun of. Too funny.

But despite all the hilarity, my 4 nieces are the greatest things in the world to me. I absolutely love kids, and little girls are the most innocent, wonderful thing that humanity has to offer.

"Fuck Tucker, Tucker sucks. And fuck Tucker's friend, Kyle." Awesome.

Yeah, I agree 100%. The kids are great, no doubt about it. I love my nephews and my niece to death, absolutely. It's not their fault their parents gave them shitty ornamental names.

True story: When my second nephew was going to be born, my sister wanted to name him Winter. Her kids would've been Walker and Winter, and I actually told her that I would lose respect for her. Might have harmed the relationship, but at least that kid didn't wind up Winter. He became Emmett, which was my grandfather's middle name. I'll take that.

And thanks, dude. Looking forward to heading back up to Connecticut on Saturday and hopefully getting to meet the little guy, even if his name is Tyler.

I hear 'ya on the uncle thing--I make a better "cool uncle" than I would a dad. I get to be the hero and the fun guy, while my nephews get to go back with my sister and husband and they're the bad guys with the rules and discipline, heh heh. Can't beat that deal. In my world, farts aren't rude, they're hilarious.

My sister's 16 year old lives with me, she does what she want and there isn't a thing you can do to force her not to. Enjoy them why they are young but never let them move in
Sorry to be a downer but anyone with teenagers would understand

My nephew is about to turn 14. He was a fun and cool kid and I loved hangin with him...until recently. Its like a line was drawn between being a kid and teenager. He was such a good kid now he's giving my brother and his wife fits. Still love my nephew but do enjoy them while they're kids. As teenagers they can sometimes be unlikable.

That's right at that age where you have to start forging your own identity--starting to think towards jobs/ career, and separating yourself from your parents/ guardians' authority and creating your own rules. The great thing is that you get to make your own decisions; the bad thing is that you're the only one to blame for them.

Do you get a discount on buying little Motorhead shirts for all of them now?

I'm going to name my firstborn "Mauve," regardless of gender.

P.S.: I just checked, and this is actually a fucking name: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Mauve
