Rest in peace Gina Brooks. She posted here as MaidenNY and was on SR.com as well. She was a good friend and loyal. God was she loyal. She was NYC faithful and I know some of you know her who are from around here, or Emissions, or whatever. Rock and Roll Gina.

She really didn't want anyone to know she was sick because she didn't want to be treated differently. I just saw her though and things just happened so quickly it really took me by surprise. Don't ever take your friends for granted, let them know how much they mean to you cause sometimes you won't get to say goodbye.

I'm going to miss her a lot. Today was a tough day.

Such a sweetheart of a woman. About 8 years ago I posted a message looking to buy an extra Black Sabbath/Ozzfest ticket. She responded and we arranged to meet at the venue. We met there, she gave me the ticket, and she refused to take a single dollar from me. She was just genuinely happy to be able to give a 20 year old kid, a complete stranger, the chance to see Black Sabbath. I randomly saw her at shows over the next few years and she always made a point to come up to me and say hello. It's been a few years since I've seen her, but I'll never forget how genuine and kind she was.
