I don't know. People around here spend a hell of a lot of time arguing and bullshitting with each other for a bunch of conformists. If it's the arguing and bullshitting he's sick of, I can understand that. But for my part, I was never as invested in it as he was, having not been in a (real) band myself and not having any financial or social stake in this game. If he felt the community wronged him, maybe it didn't perform to his expectations. But I wouldn't call him a martyr. You'll never hear that out of my mouth. I owe him a lot, but this isn't opening my eyes to anything, because there's nothing there I haven't already seen. You either take it or leave it, and he's leaving it.

Maybe I'll see him this weekend, get his side of it. Or maybe we'll just forget the whole thing and listen to some Priest or something. Because that's how I first knew him, just as some other dude who liked this kind of rock and roll. Got a little too blown up here, by him and us. Yes, I'm including myself as I've posted like five times in this trainwreck already. So that's it.

At this point, who cares? The man admitted mental illness in that interview. He is/was still functional well above an indigent level of care, but he might not be there for much longer based on the scorched-earth policy we've seen the last few days.

It is discouraging to hear about the Mass health care system letting him down on his finger injury. The Mass State model was basically the health care model Obama was trying to get enacted in the USA (which was gutted) and the model we're going to enact here in Oregon in 2014. I work in heathcare administration and from an emotional/board-life stance, I would hate to think that people like Andy are going to slip thru the cracks.

jesus, dude, you have no idea. you should see what GM is doing to former employees with their pension and medicare here in indiana. don't even get me started on medicaid and the recently re-introduced healthy indiana plan (HIP). they are set up in a way that puts a huge number of people in a position where they are too poor to afford health care but aren't poor enough to qualify for assistance. there are no jobs, everyone is broke, sick and being ignored by their government...well, except when officials threaten more cuts on medicaid every single day in the newspaper. something has to change in this country, but i know it's not going to because our corporatist government doesn't give a fuck and would rather us all die off anyway

edit: can't forget..a lot of people that do have jobs are offered "health insurance" that carries such a high deductible that they might as well have nothing at all

Some of what is happening in this country is mismanagement, but a lot of it is gravity. Something like 90% of the rest of the world would have committed murder to enjoy the life we've lived so far. And seriously, all of us here are going to be good for until we die. We hit the sperm lottery jackpot as far as a generation goes, because the kids in our generation will do better than their foks did, but afterwards, NOPE! Pretty big dropoff.

We're actually pretty much dead when Gen X starts to collect there SSI/pensions. So yeah, we'll see how barbaric this country can get when that happens.

maybe it's just indiana, but it is already bad here. more houses are foreclosed and empty than houses that are lived in. senior citizens that worked for GM (most did) are losing everything...pension, healthcare, life savings, then their houses. a lot of people are broke and angry, and not getting NECESSARY health care.

I found his ramblings annoying the same as everyone else, but I would never encourage someone who is going through what appears to be a mental breakdown to take his own life..even as a "joke."

i remember how irate soulraper/dubh croi used to get about that, with the whole "you wouldn't say that to my face" and whatnot. you could always tell that there was steam blowing out of his ears, and he was about to pop a vein or something, and then he would unleash a picture of himself holding a battle axe and listening to oak in front of the mirror, and remind us that he could take all of us at the same time.

Meh... There's worse things than death. Suicide isn't as bad as most people make it out to be. The only thing a person should do if someone they know is contemplating it, is to make sure that the person has thought it through thoroughly and knows exactly what it means. Doing it for the wrong reasons is rather lame, but there are some valid ones.

As far as someone wanting someone to do it, well they have their own issues to deal with. Wanting someone to die for simply typing words is pretty retarded. Regardless of whether it was just pretentious pseudo philosophical ramblings or even if he told you he licked your mom's beefy meat curtains and sent you PMs with drawings depicting it. That's not really a good reason to wish for suicide.

Personally I feel no anger towards him, I feel some sympathy and indifference. It's sucks that another Human is going through this, but if he was to off himself, then who really cares outside of his friends and loved ones?
